Client Vacancies Store Management & Assistant Management Positions Available -
The Company
My client is a multinational company, operating a number of food retail stores around Ireland. They currently have in excess of 40 stores in Ireland, and operate in over 20 countries. The company provides extensive training to all their managers, both in head office, and also in various stores around the country. Due to expansion, they require individuals at both Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager level.
- My client currently has positions available at both assistant, and store management level, in all counties around Ireland.
- Positions are in an FMCG company (Fast Moveable Consumer Goods), food retail.
- Full training is provided –4 to 6 months training programme. You must be flexible during this period, which means that you could be transferred to any county for a period of training. After training is completed, you are located within driving distance of your home. All expenses are paid while training away from home.
- You do not have to have work experience in retail management. Everything you will need to know about food retail management, will be covered in their extensive training.
- You are required to have managed staff. Ideally you will have taken responsibility for 5 or more employees
- The company operates to quite strict systems and procedures. Ideally, you will have an understanding of systems and procedures, targets, objectives, but more importantly, understand the need for them
- You should be a practical and a hands on type of manager. These position require you to work alongside others. Stores require managers to sometimes operate the till, stock the shelves, operate the back store, manage the staff, complete reports and administration, and other store duties.
- You must be energetic, and be able to demonstrate your ability to manage and motivate others
- You must have good communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively, both orally and written in english.
- As you will expect, stores are open over 7 days, so if you are currently working in a Monday to Friday job, you need to seriously consider if this is what you want.
- ASM salaries start at € 38,000 and rise to €43,000 after training
- SM salaries start at € 50,000 and rise to €66,000
- Ability to progress from ASM to SM level is very realistic, and it is possible to do within 12 months. However, this depends on the quality of your work, enthusiasm and other qualities.
- Successful candidates to date have come from various backgrounds, including fast food restaurants, hospitality, catering, hotel management, retail, self employed etc.
